I have seen and enjoyed the following movies on Netflix. I am including the plots, so even if you haven't seen it, you can still help.I am looking for movies that you would recommend someone who enjoyed these movies.Not just the latest award winner, or a list of top 200 or whatever to see in life.Recommendations that make you say "you liked that movie, you will like this movie) 1.Series 7: The Contenders (Thriller) Meet some real survivors! In the near future, six average citizens are chosen by random lottery to kill each other for the viewing enjoyment of millions. The game continues until one survivor is left standing. A cutting-edge satire from tabloid TV producer Daniel Minihan, The Contenders is a wry statement on the cultural void engendered by the boob tube. 2.Rounders (Drama) Fueled by his penchant for high-stakes gambling, law student Mike McDermott (Matt Damon) befriends and "befoes" a fellow gambling addict named Worm (Edward Norton) and club owner Teddy KGB (John Malkovich). But tensions run high when Worm and Mike have only five days to come up with $15K. Gretchen Mol co-stars in this John Dahl-directed drama, whose superb cast and well-developed characters made Rounders a hit on the festival circuit. 3.Joy Ride (Thriller) It's all fun and games when two brothers (Paul Walker and Steve Zahn) take off on a cross-country road trip to bring home a pretty college friend (Leelee Sobieski). But the jokes end when a prank backfires and they find themselves stalked by a vengeful trucker. It soon becomes clear that the relentless psycho won't give up his chase until somebody pays with their life. John Dahl (Rounders) directs this twist on Steven Spielberg's Duel. 4.Home Room (Drama) A small town is rocked by a shooting at its high school that results in nine deaths and serious injury to one popular female student, Deanna (Erika Christensen). As a detective (Victor Garber) looks for those responsible, his concentration turns to a defiant outcast named Alicia (Busy Phillips). With her involvement still in question, Alicia visits Deanna in the hospital, and the two forge a rare bond over what they saw that fateful day. 5.Pieces of April (Comedy) Reformed wild child April Burns (Katie Holmes) attempts to make Thanksgiving dinner -- while battling a temperamental oven -- for her estranged suburban family at her grungy New York apartment and anticipates introducing them to her new boyfriend, Bobby (Derek Luke). Oliver Platt, Sean Hayes and Oscar-nominated Patricia Clarkson co-star in this drama that observes a dysfunctional family coming together to address the past and heal the future. 6.Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (Musical) When he's not busy breaking the law or trying to get close to his secret crush, Penny (Felicia Day), supervillain wannabe Dr. Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris) boasts about his exploits via his Internet video blog and dreams of defeating his nemesis, Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion). Conceived during the 2008 Hollywood writers' strike, Joss Whedon's quirky musical comedy originally debuted as an online miniseries. 7. Daria: The Movie: Is it Fall Yet? (Television) Serving as a bridge between the animated MTV show's fourth and fifth season, this full-length feature follows the droll, sardonic title character through the summer before her senior year of high school. While she serves as a counselor at a sad day camp, Daria is torn between loyalty for her best friend, Jane, and a relationship she's building with Jane's ex-boyfriend. Meanwhile, Daria's vapid sister, Quinn, tries to prove she's not dumb. 8.The Lucky Ones (Drama) Three soldiers injured in the Iraq War return to native soil, only to find that their tour of duty has taken its toll on the home front. Hoping to repair their tattered lives, Colee (Rachel McAdams), Cheaver (Tim Robbins) and T.K (Michael Peña) set off on an impromptu cross-country road trip. While Colee seeks to repay her dead boyfriend's family, Cheaver dreams of a big win in LasVegas, and T.K. tries to regain his confidence. 9.Misery (Thriller) Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates) rescues her idol, romance novelist Paul Sheldon (James Caan), after he crashes his car during a fierce blizzard. But when she finds out he plans to kill off the heroine in his next volume, Annie morphs from nurturing caregiver to sadistic jailer. In this tightly wound, suspenseful adaptation of Stephen King's novel, Bates earns her Best Actress Oscar as a woman come undone in a claustrophobia-inducing house of horrors. 10.Good Will Hunting (Drama) Will Hunting (Matt Damon) spends his days as a janitor at MIT, but the aimless young man is also a mathematical genius. So when his talents are discovered, a therapist (Robin Williams) helps Will confront the demons that have been holding him back.
