Open Question: Could I pull off a Pixie cut? (: I want a change!?

I'm 15, a sporty-girlie- country loving kind of girl. My hair had always been long, never above the bust area. This remained this way until the summer going into 7th grade. Since 6th grade-and a few weeks of summer '11- my hair hasn't been longer than my shoulders. Now, 15 & more daring, I want to try something new- A Pixie cut! The thing is I have curly hair and I need it long enough to be able to straighten and style it. Do you think I could pull it off?
